The Phantom Tollbooth

Milo is a kid where nothing is interesting or worth doing. One day there is a mysterious box with instructions, a map of a “fictional” place and a book of rules for some place. The instructions tell him how to set up the box into a tollbooth. Milo then gets in his toy car, puts a coin in the slot and drives through. And as soon as he drives through he’s suddenly on a road in some place. He makes friends with a watchdog named Tock and together they are on a wild and wacky adventure.
