Dragon Watch

Dragonwatch is a sequel series to Fablehaven. You definitely need to read Fablehaven first if you want it to make sense. Celebrant was granted being a co-caretaker in exchange for helping obliterate the demons in the demon war and now he is trying to escape.

Book one

Kendra and Seth were living at Fablehaven with their family when Agad the wizard gave them a visit. He informs them that Celebrant the Just, King of the Dragons, is trying to get his revenge and escape from the dragon sanctuaries that he sees as prisons. Agad wants them to take on the roles of being caretakers of Wyrmroost, because having mortals as caretakers makes the sanctuary stronger. They accept the roles and Wymroost is now their responsibility.

Book 2

Kendra and Seth have recovered the scepter that strengthens the walls of the sanctuary and hinders the dragons from escaping. Celebrant is angry about the scepter, but he invites them to Feast of Welcome where he kills their griffins making them have to travel on the road on a festival night. They end up entering Stormguard castle to beat Celebrant to the Wizenstone, a gem that could free the dragons from the sanctuary. Who will win the Wizenstone?

Book 3

Seth’s memory has been erased and he has been kidnapped and taken to the Phantom isle where Seth is bounded to the Under King until he fulfills his duties to him. Seth doesn’t know it, but he made Wyrmroost fall and freed the dragons. Kendra retreats to Crescent Lagoon, an aquic dragon sanctuary where she meets up with her friends to help restore the Sunset Pearl. Kendra and her friends find a way to get to the Phantom isle where she hopes to rescue Seth and Braken and get back the sunset pearl.

Book 4

Kendra has released Bracken and got the sunset pearl back; she didn’t get Seth, but she did break his bind to the Under King. Seth meanwhile heads to Titan Valley, the strongest dragon sanctuary because it’s more like a dragon slavery ruled by giants. Seth hopes to regain his memories there. Kendra finds out where Seth is and heads to Titan Valley with her friends also hoping to gain help from the Giant Queen who thinks that she is invincible. But it turns out not to be true.

Book 5

All seven sanctuaries have fallen. Kendra and Seth are in desperate need of allies. Seth has to complete his quest for the Sisters, while Kendra collects the Dragon Slayers. If the dragons win the war all humanity will be enslaved.

Landon Snow ends up back in the land of Wonderwood, this time with his little sister Holly. Holly gets trapped in Ludo’s hypno spell. Landon needs to rescue her along with the hypnotized people with the help of his friends that he made in his last adventure.

BOOK THREE

Landon Snow and his two younger sisters, Holly and Bridget. They were at the library when they were transported on a ship in another world. They must rescue the animals of Wonderwood from the Island of Arcanum where the minions of Malus lurk with the same friends from the last adventure.

BOOK FOUR

Landon Holly and Bridget Snow along with a boy named Max get transported to a very different Wonderwood. Almost everybody has been enslaved by a dragon named Volucer Ignis.Together, they must free everybody.

BOOK FIVE

Landon Holly and Bridget Snow are back at the exact time they left; they never finished the battle that they were in and they must finish the battle with the Arcan army and Volucer Ignis.

The instructions tell him how to set up the box into a tollbooth. Milo then gets in his toy car, puts a coin in the slot and drives through. And as soon as he drives through he’s suddenly on a road in some place. He makes friends with a watchdog named Tock and together they are on a wild and wacky adventure.

After their first day of school together they visit the newly opened candy shop where a nice lady named Mrs. White gives them chores in exchange for a specific treat. She mentions secret candy but won’t tell what she is talking about. A week later they asked what she meant. She then sends on a strange quest in return for magical candy. They complete the quest and get magical candy. They start going on more quests for her but they start getting suspicious when Mrs. White sends to erase Mr. Stott the sweets truck driver’s mind! They then start getting suspicious and start working against her with Mr. Stott and a few other allies. The candy shop war is on !!!

Arcade Catastrophe

Nate and his friends just defeated Mrs. White and erased her mind after she drank from the goblet of youth a few months ago when two magician police inform them that John Dart and Mozag, two allies that helped defeat Mrs. White have gone missing. Their suspicion is pointed to Arcadeland, the new arcade that opened not too long ago. They found that the arcade is run by Mr. White who is Mrs. White’s brother, but he’s more powerful. He’s selling magical stamps and the kids who purchase them are under his control and must go on quests so he can get his prize, a magical artifact that he can control the world with and it’s up to Nate and his friends to stop him.

Fablehaven

Fablehaven is a fantasy, 5 book series where fictional creatures are hidden from the human eye and look like normal things. They’re long novels that range from 300 to 550 pages. There is a lot of dark magic, witches, demons, and other things like that, but they are representing evil. This is definitely a good versus evil story where the good will prevail over the evil. Book One

In this book Kendra and Seth Sorenson find themselves staying at their grandparent’s mansion because their great aunt and uncle died and left an allocated sum of money that was used for a big cruise for their adult children, nephews, nieces and their spouses however their children were not included. Their grandpa is strange; he has work to do all day and their Grandma never is around. They can’t go into the forest. Seth finds himself breaking that rule. He ends up meeting an old and crazy hag locked in a hut and finding a beautiful garden with exotic animals. After several times of going into the woods, he eventually gets his obedient sister, Kendra, to come into the forest. Their Grandpa finds out quickly what they did. Their punishment is that they are not allowed to leave the house without adult supervision. Later, they drink the “butterflies ” milk and it opens their eyes to a hidden world of magical creatures. That starts a wild adventure.

Book Two

At the end of the school year Seth and Kendra Sorenson find themselves back at Fablehaven. They meet three of their Grandpa friends: a potion master, a magical relic collector, and a mystical creature trapper. They are working to help Grandpa fight an old rerising evil, The Society of the Evening Star. The Society of the Evening Star is trying to find powerful artifacts for reasons unknown. Kendra learns that she is fairykind which means she is the fairy queen’s handmaiden and has a store of magical energy inside her, so basically she is a walking magical battery.

Book Three

Strange things are happening at Fablehaven; creatures of light are being affected by some sort of plague of darkness, and it’s spreading rapidly. Seth finds out the problem with the help of a demon. Meanwhile Kendra is meeting with an organization that has been battling against The Society of the Evening Star who are now after five hidden artifacts to open Zzyxx the demon prison, The Knights of the Dawn. Kendra becomes a member of The Knights of the Dawn and together they must journey to a distant preserve to recover a hidden artifact. Will Seth and his allies stop the shadow plague? Will The Knights of the Dawn beat The Society of the Evening Star to the hidden artifact?

Book Four

Two hidden artifacts have been recovered, one by The Knights of the Dawn and one by The Society of the Evening Star. Destruction follows The Society of the Evening Star wherever they go, and sanctuaries are falling. Seth finds out more about his newfound abilities. Kendra finds a clue to find the key to another hidden artifact. The bad news is that the key is hidden at Wyrmroost, a dangerous and perilous dragon sanctuary. Will they recover the key in time? Will they make it out alive and safe?

Book Five

The Society of the Evening Star is after the last of the artifacts they need to open Zzyxx, the demon prison. Kendra and Seth are collecting allies, while The Knights of the Dawn are protecting the artifacts in their possession and trying to recover the Society’s artifacts and stop them from killing the Eternals. The race is on, who will be victorious?

The Chronicles of Narnia Review

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis is a Christian-fiction series. It contains 7 books. The books go from the creation of Narnia to the destruction of Narnia. The chosen creatures of Narnia can talk and are intelligent (and if you ask me, sometimes smarter than humans). The story represents the Bible and real life problems. It’s a fun adventure book that will bring you to Narnia with all our favorite characters. Kids and adults will love this book. Kids under age 9 can read these books too, but they may not understand as much of the symbolism. My favorite part of the series is how C. S. Lewis uses Aslan the lion to represent God. It is said that Aslan “is not safe, but he is good.”

1: THE MAGICIAN’S NEPHEW

In this book, Aslan creates Narnia and his creatures. And we see how the first evil came to Narnia.

2: THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE

In this book, the four Pevensie siblings travel to Narnia for the first time and lead Aslan’s army against the White Witch.

3: THE HORSE AND HIS BOY

In this book, a talking horse and a boy save Narnia from an invasion.

4: PRINCE CASPIAN

Prince Caspian is about a prince who earns the trust of the Narnians who had been assumed to be extinct and leads them to victory in a battle against his evil uncle who is trying to steal the throne.

5: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER

In this book, King Caspian (formerly Prince Caspian) sails on the Dawn Treader to the Lone Islands, defeats a dark magic, and visits the End of the World. All with the company of Lucy, Edmond, and their cousin.

6: THE SILVER CHAIR

In this book, Eustace and Jill rescue Prince Rillian from the Emerald Witch’s magic bonds.

7: THE LAST BATTLE

In the final book of Narnia, Aslan ends Narnia, and leads his people to a glorious new paradise.

Redwall

Summary

This series is based on the character of Martin the Warrior. The novels were written between 1986 and 2011. The Author intertwines different characters and things that happen in different books. It is a little violent in some parts. Throughout the book there are songs, poems and riddles. Brian Jacques is detailed. The series are about the adventures of the human-like animals living in Redwall Abbey and Mossflower Wood and surrounding islands. Frequently the peace-loving creatures of Mossflower are called upon to become warriors to defend themselves from bands of “vermin” such as rats, weasels, and foxes.
